Sedona MTB Festival Hogs & Brewer Clinic
Friday, March 8th, 2024
Hogs Trail Network and Brewer Clinic:
Two of Sedona’s most iconic trails with coaching by Sedona Mountain Bike Academy….whats not to like?
This clinic starts out with a short pedal to the top of Brewer Trail. This steep and chunky downhill is the ideal advanced warm up for the technicality to come. Instructors will review essential steep descending body position, progressive footwork (to be more dynamic on the bike), advanced braking techniques and more. This downhill is not one to miss and we know you will hit it again before the weekend is over.
After a few high fives, our team will pedal over to the Broken Arrow Trailhead. Broken Arrow Trail will challenge every climbing technique in our quiver. Step ups, steep switchbacks, off camber slickrock and variable terrain. After a group break at the top of Broken Arrow, our crew will get a run down on what to expect for the Hogs Trails.
Hogs Trail Network is one of the most iconic trail rides in the United States. These trails combine to offer some of Sedona’s most interesting technical climbing moves, slickrock rolls, exposed features, optional drops, advanced to optional expert lines and the iconic “corkscrew turn”. Come ride with us and unlock these features or learn alternate lines that only a Sedona local could show you.
This clinic will finish up with a fun lap down Pigtail. Pigtail is one of Sedona’s only “tech/flow” trails with a mix of technical terrain and a flow line. Rider will encounter optional drops, jumps and purpose built berms. This trail always leaves riders smiling ear to ear.
Advanced riders and above for this clinic.
